Synopsis:
It tells of the dramatic rise to music stardom of a starstruck fan, Dorina Pineda (Sharon Cuneta). She idolizes the biggest singing star, Lavinia Arguelles (Cherie Gil). Like a true blue fan, Dorina follows Lavinia everywhere, watching her shows and offering her flowers. Onstage and in front of the public, Lavinia is at her best behavior. But in private she is vicious, turning off even her staunchest supporters. In time the fan eclipsed the idol, prompting the latter to utter that famous line in the movie: "You are nothing but a second-rate, trying hard copycat."
